Some time back I applied to be a 'hosted buyer' at Melbourne's 2008 AsiaPacific Incentives & Meetings Expo. I did it last year and found it to be a worthwhile, if exhausting experience, so thought I'd go again.  The organisers called me last week to check on my application, and were curious because the CC website doesn't really show case this part of the business.

Whilst I feel like I've always been involved in co-ordinating events, I now see we haven't showcased this side of things very well.

The future has never felt so close. 2010 is only 2 years and 2 days away.

2007 for me was about 2 big projects. One is almost done, just the report to write and submit. The other is in the home straight. The projects? Two different 600+ delegate conferences.  How does this fit in with Creative Contingencies? Well, I'm a meeting facilitator - and conferences are just very big meetings. Right? Welll....

This morning Peter and I trundled off to the Waugh Partners Roadshow promoting their research initiative to poll the Open Source Industry and Community with a census.
